The Underground Facilities Safe Excavation ("Dig Safe") Board improves public and worker safety by facilitating communication and learning among excavators and the operators of subsurface installations by investigating accidents to determine their causes.  The Board strives to be a model for other states to emulate.

The Dig Safe Board would like to thank the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power for hosting it's Second Annual Education and Outreach Meeting on Tuesday, September 10, 2019.  The Board would also like to thank all the participants to joined the discussion about industry education and outreach needs in person and via our webcast.  The meeting featured presentations, a workshop discussion about education and outreach needs, and a panel discussion on improving communication between excavators and utility owners in the field.

The Dig Safe Board typically has monthly meetings with the agenda available at least 10 days prior to the meeting date. 

Board meetings are open to the public and are also available via webcast.  The next Board meeting is scheduled for December 9-10, 2019.
